Korean vlogger attempted to make the contentious Jollibee "Fried Towel" dish on YouTube.
The Jollibee's deep-fried towel controversy was one of the most talked-about topics on social media a few weeks ago.
The incident drew widespread condemnation for the fast-food chain.
However, several netizens defended the popular fast-food franchise, claiming that someone was simply attempting to damage the firm.
Some social media users felt it was merely an oversight.
The controversy was quickly turned into a meme and gained widespread attention online.
Several international news sites have already covered the story.
The YouTube channel "Mr BulBul" recently posted a video of a Korean vlogger making his own version of the "Fried Towel" recipe.
The video went viral and elicited a wide range of responses from the online community.
The vlogger reacted to the scenario in the video, but did not comment on the "fried towel."
He took a towel and formed it into a chicken shape after a few moments.
The man fried it in the same manner as a real chicken and tried his hardest to make it crispy.
"I don't know what it is. I can't tell if it's a fake or simply a simple error, I don't know. I don't want to say anything about it. I'm simply surprised by its look," BulBul said.
"Today, I'm going to test what happens if I deep fry a chicken towel?" he said.
The video elicited a variety of responses from social media users.
After the 'fried towel' incident, Jollibee Foods Corp., a local fast-food chain, issued a 'thank you' video.
Angelique Perez's accusation that the Jollibee Chickenjoy she ordered via Grab turned up to be a deep-fried towel wrapped in breading went viral on all social media channels.
Raffy Tulfo was also approached by Angelique Perez to help her resolve the problem. She asked if Jollibee was to blame.
The popular fast-food restaurant reacted quickly, ordering the closure of its outlet in Bonifacio Global City for three days (BGC).
They'll "thoroughly assess its compliance with processes and retrain its shop employees" to make sure it doesn't happen again, they said.
