They eventually discovered they were caught in the friendzone.

They'd hang out or go on beach getaways together, but they were always surrounded by mutual friends.
After going on a holiday beach getaway together, the two went official (at least on Instagram!) on New Year's Day.
Despite the beautiful setting, they became official in a fairly casual way.
They have grown open to the public in their relationship since becoming official lovers.

"If there’s something I wanna give you, I'd give you the ability to see yourself through my eyes so you know how special you are to me. How happy my heart feels when I see you happy when I’m with you,"Imperial wrote.
"I love you my baby gurl. Thanks for making my day," Loyzaga wrote in the comment section of the post.
