Jake Zyrus is enraged because he's being compared to Charice Pempengco.
Jake, originally Charice Pempengco, shot to fame prominence after appearing on Ellen DeGeneres' show in 2007.
He also had a recurring role on the TV show Glee.
Jake was well-known at the time for belting out Whitney Houston and Celine Dion songs.
Jake, on the other hand, came out as a lesbian in 2013 and has since confirmed in interviews that he identifies as male.
As Jake Zyrus read the comments of some netizens, he was irritated and even surprised.
After comparing him to his former character, Charice Pempengco, he has come to this conclusion.
Jake released a new song out called Fix Me. His diehard fans, who love and appreciate him to this day, are happy for him.
Others, on the other hand, could not help but feel sorry for his former character.
There's no doubt that Charice was a fantastic singer back then.
So that's how most people remember Jake's former alter ego, Charice.
But Jake did not like it and was even more angry.
“I don’t care if you want to listen to my Charice songs all d4mn day or if you hear my Charice voice in my falsettos, because of course, you d$mba$$ MF, boses ko pa rin ‘yon. Nag-transition lang,” Jake angrily said.
Jake explained, it's okay if they notice that Charice still has a mixed voice in his song today. But he just doesn't want the former "Charice" to be emphasized to him.
Jake allegedly forced himself to tolerate interviews about his gender. He said he put up with the comments just to "please" people.
“Never again. Ilang beses na akong na-offend na hindi ako nagsasalita. Last na ‘to. Tutal ke public or sa family or sa mga ex-friends ko eh mayabang at masama ang ugali ko, so be it,” Jake added.
It turns out that Jake is tired of reading comments about his life decisions especially in changing gender and name.
