Julia Barretto, quietly using her father's last name during signing of a contract with Viva

 

One of the issues Julia was asked during her debut press conference for her "Just Julia" debut special, which aired  

on ABS-CBN in 2015, was concerning her rumored last name change. Julia is always the one to respond to questions, especially  

concerning such matters, because she is the eldest of her siblings Claudia and Leon and is well-known in show business.

She had stated at that time that she did not need to change her last name.

Julia stated, "Right now, there's really no need to change my last name." Dennis and Julia talked again about this matter during Julia's vlog.

She said in her vlog, she just wants to correct her father's mistakes. She wanted to change his last name then.

Julia and her siblings are said to be illegitimate children because Dennis and Marjorie Barretto's marriage was null and void.

In a recent interview with Ogie Diaz, Dennis expressed his frustration about this.

Dennis requested  the children to use Baldivia at least in private documents.

Baldivia was written in Julia's last name when she signed the contract with Viva Artist Agency.
