CONFIRMED: A sitcom starring John Lloyd and Andrea Torres with Willie Revillame
In a forthcoming sitcom, Filipino actor John Lloyd Cruz will be joined by Kapuso actress Andrea Torres, who just returned to show business after a three-year hiatus.
Willie Revillame, who will also serve as the show's executive producer, verified this.
Loydie will be a guest on Revillame's 6-6 Shopee Super Mega Fiesta Special, which will air on June 6 and will be simulcast on GMA.
Willie Revillame's revelation that John Lloyd Cruz would be his special guest in the 6-6 Shopee Super Mega Fiesta Special on June 6, 2021 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum and will be televised live on GMA-7 is merely a "taste."
Because this is the real deal — the actor John Lloyd Cruz together with Andrea Torres will star on a sitcom that will be aired in the Kapuso Network.
Willie appeared in and became the backbone of the ABS-CBN sitcom Richard Loves Lucy, which ran from November 22, 1998 to March 25, 2001 and featured Richard Gomez and Lucy Torres.
“Pinayagan na si John Lloyd ni Sir Carlo na magtrabaho sa production ko dahil magpa-partner kami sa isang project with the help of Miss Annette Gozon-Valdes," Willie said.
“Kinausap ko si Sir Carlo para ipagpaalam si John Lloyd at napakabait niya. Pinayagan niya si John Lloyd sa pinaplano namin na sitcom, kasama si Andrea Torres.
“Nagpapasalamat din ako kina Ma’am Annette at Atty. Felipe Gozon dahil pumayag sila na mag-guest si John Lloyd sa Shopee event sa June 6,” Willie added as he continue to unravel one of the most awaited comeback of the actor in showbiz.
To express his appreciation for Cruz's previous home network, Revillame launched a conversation with ABS-CBN president Carlo Katigbak.
Willie's Wil Production is the blocktimer producer for the Shopee event on June 6, thus he personally invited John Lloyd.
There's a significant likelihood that John Lloyd will be a co-producer on GMA-7 and Willie's Wil Production's sitcom.
Andrea, Derek Ramsay's ex-girlfriend who is now Ellen Adarna's fiancé and the mother of John Lloyd's baby, will undoubtedly be the next talk of the town.
In Willie's next sitcom, Andrea will portray John Lloyd's love interest.
This sitcom also marks Willie's comeback to acting after a twenty-year absence to focus on television hosting and assisting our country's impoverished and needy citizens.
