Looking back at Paolo Contis' past relationships!

 

Paolo Contis has recently become the buzz of the town (along with Baguio and the term "as a friend," but that's a different tale). 

The outpouring of support for the actor comes following an Instagram post on September 8 that finally acknowledges his six-year relationship with LJ Reyes. 

In his two-part response, there's a lot to unpack, but the gist is basically "I'm wrong. I'm sorry." and a confirmation that his A Faraway Land co-star Yen Santos had nothing to do with the separation.

Almost everyone on social media has been #shookt by the new disclosures.

Here's a look at the past relationships of Paolo Contis:

 LJ Reyes: 

Timeline: 2015 to 2021 

Speculation that the two had split began on August 19 when Contis unfollowed everyone on Instagram, including Reyes. All pictures of Reyes also vanished from his feed. On August 23, Contis' co-manager Lolit Solis confirmed the break-up, stating that there was no third party involved. On September 1, an interview with Boy Abunda was released where Reyes said that the split was not a "mutual" decision. Reyes is currently in New York City with her family and her two children. Contis and Reyes have a two-year-old daughter together.

Lian Paz

From 2009-2012

Contis also apologized to his former wife Lian Paz in a recent Instagram post when people compared their own relationship to theirs. 

In 2009, Contis married Paz, a former EB Babe dancer on Eat Bulaga. 

She talked about their breakup on the now-defunct GMA chat show Startalk in 2012. 

"I'm not doing this because I don't love you anymore, I'm doing this for you," Paz stated of how they ended their relationship. 

Paz and Contis are currently based in Cebu with their two daughters.

Isabel Oli

The following is a timeline from 2006 to 2008.

Isabel Oli and Paolo Contis, it turns out, were serious enough to have been engaged. 

Contis gave Oli an engagement ring on her birthday in 2008, however they didn't disclose it at the time. 

She returned the ring three weeks later after realizing their relationship wasn't working out. 

Oli is now married to John Prats, an actor.

Nancy Castiglione

From 2002 to 2004

You probably know Italian-Filipina Castiglione from GMA's Encantadia series, when she was coupled with Dingdong Dantes. 

Contis and his then-relationship with Paz made her happy in 2010. 

Castiglione had already given birth to twin boys by that time. 

She frequently maintains her Instagram account with photos of herself and her family in Canada with her spouse Richie Bautista.

2000 to 2002

Desiree Del Valle

In the 1990s TV sitcom Tabing Ilog, Contis and Del Valle starred as a love team. 

Del Valle spoke about her relationship with Contis during a 2009 interview. 

"Mga bata pa kami noon, eh, tulad ni Paolo [Contis]. 

Ang alam namin ay na-in love kami tapos,'yon na 'yon na. 

Because we were so young, we didn't understand the meaning of the phrase "commitment." 

Marami naman sa ginagawa namin hindi alam." 

Del Valle is expecting her first child with her husband, Boom Labrusca.
