Yamyam Publicized His Ladylove
Today, August 23, 2021 @7pm, Yamyam Guconf, The PBB Otso Ultimate Big Winner, posted a photo of him and his girlfriend on his IG @gucongyamyam. In the IG photo, the two lovebirds held each other’s hands and captioned it, “You and I”. The IGers are gleeful to see Yamyam’s non-showbiz girlfriend.
In the year 2019, Yamyam was interviewed in the morning show “Magandang Buhay” regarding his sweetheart, Elaine. According to him, it was indeed serendipity to meet her after an earthquake in Bohol. They have been together since 2015, but they had to conceal their relationship for two years since Elaine was a minor at that time.
When Elaine was finally in her legal age, Yamyam was introduced to Elaine’s father and he can now proudly introduced her to everyone.
“After two years, pinuntahan ako sa school ng papa niya. Kalaunan sabi niya [sa akin], ‘kung seryoso ka sa anak ko, doon ka bumisita sa bahay.’ So kinagabihan ‘non, pumunta agad ako, bumisita na ako,” Yamyam narrated.
“Sana nasa mabuti kang kalagayan ngayon. Sana nasa maayos kang kalagayan. Huwag kang mag-alala, you’re safe in my heart, and I will stay in love [with] you, forever and ever. Kasama ka sa lahat ng plano ko sa buhay,” said Yamyam.
Meanwhile, during the interview, he also shared how he felt the pinch because of the poverty to the point of stopping from schooling.
“Nong Grade 5 po ako, napansin ko yung mga magulang ko na sobrang baba talaga kami, mahirap talaga ang buhay. Kaya nag-desisyon muna ako na magtrabaho muna sa Cebu para makapag-ambag man lang sa kanila,” he shared.
Yamyam worked hard to support his family and did multiple kinds of jobs. He was once a construction worker, houseboy, delivery boy, and carwash boy. After six years, he finally decided to continue his high school education although he was far older than his classmates.
“Parang gusto ko naman maiba yung buhay ko kaya nag-desisyon akong bumalik talaga sa pag-aaral, kahit medyo huli na at matanda na,” he added.
The story of Yamyam is an inspo to everyone who has been struggling in poverty and that love can never be changed though you are miles apart.
