Women received different 1st and 2nd doses of COVID VACCINE, NAGPATULFO!

 


Raffy Tulfo is one of the most seasoned broadcast journalists in the country. He is better known as the "King of Public Service" in his program 'Wanted sa Radyo'. 

He is also a well -known YouTuber in the country where his channel 'Raffy Tulfo in Action' has more than 21.6 million subscribers.


Aside from taking action on the complaint of our oppressed compatriots, Tulfo is also known for providing assistance to the needy.

ISSUE: 

A woman who was injected with a different brand of COVID -19 vaccine approached Raffy Tulfo's program - She said she has been feeling recurrent headaches and nausea since receiving the 2nd dose .

She was especially worried and she didn't feel it when receive her 1st dose - With Tulfo's help, they consulted an expert to find out if the woman's condition required competent medical attention.


Cecille Lyn Quirino of Aurora Province asked Raffy Tulfo for help after allegedly receiving different brands of COVID-19 vaccine for her 1st and 2nd doses. It was learned that her first dose was last June, Sinovac was the one she received. When she shooted her second dose on July, instead of Sinovac being received again, Janssen vaccine was injected into her.. 

Based on Cecille's statement in 'Wanted sa Radyo', she was very worried even though she allegedly felt a lot after being injected with a second dose that was different from her first dose. She said she felt almost nothing strange when she received Sinovac but when Janssen was vaccinated, her headache was 'on and off'. 


With Tulfo’s help, they referred it to the Head Vaccine Expert Development Panel of the Department of Science and Technology Dr. Nina Gloriani, MD, MSc, PhD.

The expert said Cecille was feeling normal based on the expected side effects of the vaccine. However, she was still told to go to the hospital immediately in case the physical pain persists. Tulfo continues to monitor Cecille with the Head of Rural Health in Dipaculao, Aurora Dr. Arturo Parilla.


Tulfo also reminded Parilla to be careful that their health workers who conduct the vaccination so as not to repeat the mistake that resulted in the fear of the vaccinated.
