WOW! Is Gretchen Barretto really the owner of an P8 million pearl necklace?

 

Do you recall when RS Francisco mentioned Gretchen Barretto's pearls?

He revealed one of his antics with the actress in an interview:

"Parati kong sinasabi sa kanya, 'Girl, isang condominium na iyan na maganda.'

"Alam mo ang sagot niya? 'Masusuot ko ba ang condominium? E, di nadaganan ako!'"

That led us to look into Gretchen's favorite accessories and their worth, which is determined by their size (13 to 16mm), skin purity (flawless, mild spotted, ad spotted), and shine (fire, excellent, and dull).

We stopped by one of Jewelmer's locations and learned the following:

1. A pair of white pearl earrings with a diameter of 12 mm costs $1,350 (PHP66,960).

2. A pendant costs about $4,600 (PHP228,160) on average.

3. The average price of a single strand of 13 to 16-mm white necklace is $64, 000, or PHP3,174,400.

Gretchen usually wears two strands, so the total is divided by two.

4. One big gold necklace strand can cost up to eight million pesos.

A source told us that the actress has them in her pearl collection, since she is a huge lover of pearls.

Champagne, on the other hand, is the most costly hue.

Dominique Cojuangco was barely ten months old when she fell in love with pearls for the first time.

"My dada [husband Tony Boy Cojuangco] purchased two sets of necklaces & earrings in time for Dominique's first birthday," she said in one of her Instagram pictures.

Necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and pendants in various shapes, including drop, oval, button, baroque, semi-baroque, or circular, and round, which are the rarest, are among the 47-year-old actress's collection.
