Revelation: John Lloyd Cruz admits to dating Bea Alonzo before.

 

Despite their love team's continued appeal, Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz have denied being romantically connected in real life in previous interviews.

Cruz was pressed to divulge if they ever went out on a date in an interview with ABS-CBN News' Karen Davila for the broadcast journalist's new podcast.

He told Davila in the beginning, "Hala. I don’t know. Parang mahirap yatang sagutin 'yun." 

"Sa totoo lang, totoo naman 'yung sinabi mo na yes or no [question lang ito]. But because I respect her and she’s been good to me and to my family also, mahirap eh. Sometimes may mga tanong talagang I wish kayang sagutin ng yes or no," he added.

When roundly asked again if they dated: "Probably. Kasi nga dahil nirerespeto ko 'yung tao, ayaw ko naman na ikakahon ko na lang sa isang walang kabuluhang sagot para lang maitawid na," he said.

Despite this, Cruz admitted that Alonzo holds a particular place in his heart.

He said, "Siyempre si Bea siya sa buhay ko. Special 'yun, so it would be hard to change that."

Is Alonzo his "TOTGA" (the one who got away), as he calls him?

He admitted, "If anything, natatakot akong i-label kung ano man 'yung nagging totoo between. Kahit ako sa sarili ko, I don’t want it to reduce into something that it’s not."

Cruz could only hope that their reunion film would go through now that he is returning to show business after a four-year hiatus.

John Lloyd Espidol Cruz is a Filipino actor, model, and sometimes TV personality who was born on June 24, 1983. He was a part of ABS-Star CBN's Magic and is a Batch 5 alumni. He is most known for his roles in soap operas such as It Might Be You, Maging Sino Ka Man, I Betty La Fea, and Imortal. He also appeared in the adolescent drama Tabing Ilog.

Cruz has worked with a number of actresses during his career, including Kaye Abad, Bea Alonzo, Angel Locsin, Toni Gonzaga, and Sarah Geronimo.

Cruz completed his schooling at Marikina Catholic School in Marikina, Philippines. He completed his secondary school at the ABS-CBN Distance Learning Center till his third year.

He used to live in Santolan, Pasig, and also had a home in Valle Verde, a posh Pasig neighborhood. Cruz is presently based in Cebu City as of 2017.
