"Ayokong maging tatay. I want to be a parent"; Vice Ganda's sentiments on having his own child.

Vice Ganda's intention to have a child of his own is more than just a matter of necessary resources.

The comedian announced his decision to remain child-free in an episode of "It's Showtime" in July 2020, noting that he did not want his possible child to suffer from mistreatment.

The topic came up as he and co-host Vhong Navarro were interviewing a gay competitor during the singing competition "Tawag ng Tanghalan."

The contestant has two children and admitted to having a same-sex spouse.

Vice praised him and others in the LGBTQ+ community who are raising families as a result of this.

"Sa lahat ng LGBTQ+ na may mga pamilya, at nagtataguyod ng pamilya, at matagumpay sa pagiging pamilyado nila, congratulations sa inyo," he said.

He added, "Saludo ako dahil hindi ko mawari ang tapang at husay ninyo, kasi ako, hindi ko kaya yun."

Vice revealed that he is frequently asked if he plans to have a child and that he has reservations about doing so.

"I said if I think of my capacity, I can say that I can have one. But I do not want to expose whoever will be my child to the cruelty of the world," he explained.

He claimed that while he could deal with the cruelty, he would not want a child to go through it.

However, as time passed, the comedian's perspective shifted.

When discussed having a child, Ogie Diaz mentioned this to his friend Vice Ganda, "Kapag nagkaroon ka ng sarili mong anak, na talagang dugo at laman mo, nagbabago ang perspektibo mo sa buhay."

Many people are rumored to be asking Unkabogable Star whether he will copy Ogie and be ready to have a child.

"Ayokong maging tatay. I want to be a parent," Vice said.

"Diyos ko, baka maguluhan 'yung bata, ganito ako. I just want to be a parent. Neutral, walang gender," he added.

The TV host-comedian was taken aback when asked how he felt when he was pressured to have a child of her own.

"Syempre noong una, baklang-bakla ako nang todo 'di ba tapos hindi talaga sumasagi sa kahit anong bahagi ng utak o ng kamalayan ko ang pagkakaroon ng anak.

"Diring-diri talaga ako kasi hindi ko nakikita 'yung sarili ko na mag-aanak.

"Parang happy na ako na meme-memehan ako ng napakaraming tao. Pero 'yung totoong sa akin, hindi ko talaga naaano (naiisip)," Vice said.

With all of Vice's accomplishments, not to mention his blissful love relationship with Ion Perez, it appears that just a child is lacking from his life.

This is rumored to be Ogie's ideal scenario for Vice. This is also his mother Nanay Rosario's dream.

The Unkabogable star has expressed interest in doing so but has stated that he will not do so in a natural way because he does not want to.
