Ate Shawee, Marvin Martinez in real life, passed away at 45!

 

Ate Shawee whose real name is Marvin Martinez passed away this afternoon, Monday, July 26.  

Sharon Cuneta's famous impersonator, Ate Shawee, passed away at the Chinese General Hospital due to liver cirrhosis.  

He is 45 years old.  

Ate Shawee's niece Rafaela de Jesus confirmed the death of the stand-up comedian, who did not have a regular TV program but made movies, was given TV guestings and shows in different countries.  

Rafaela went out last night, July 25, to appeal for support from good people. They need P60,000 to cover his Aunt Shawee's hospital expenses, as she purportedly has lost her memory and is unable to communicate.  

Due to a shortage of funds, Ate Shawee's family decided to release him from the hospital on Monday, but their plan backfired when the comedienne-impersonator died.  

Because Ate Shawee ran out of money due to his liver cirrhosis, his family still needs financial assistance to provide him a proper funeral.

Ate Shawee's bereaved family is considering burying him in a barangay hall in Tondo, Manila, due to a lack of funds and payment for the burial parlor.  

According to Rafaela, "Pinag-iisipan pa po namin kung sa barangay hall o sa Dulce Funeral Homes siya ibuburol kasi po wala na po talaga kaming pambayad na pera.

"Sana po, makalikom kami ng pera para pambayad sa Dulce. Sana, may mga tumulong po para mabigyan siya ng maayos na burol hanggang sa huli."

Ate Shawee is a 45-year-old comedian and Megastar Sharon Cuneta impersonator. 

Due to his condition, Ate Shawee was returned to the Chinese General Hospital on Saturday, July 24.  

And the awful news simply broke the hearts of the comedian's family, friends, and supporters today.  

Marvin Martinez's family, better known by his screen name Ate Shawee, is knocking on the doors of people with a golden heart once again.
