A 62-year-old father has been criticized for kissing his daughter on the lips.

All fathers have a significant impact on their daughters' self-worth, confidence, self-esteem, and body image.  

Fathers, like mothers, play an important role in a child's emotional development. Children look to their fathers to set and enforce the rules. They also look to their fathers to give them a sense of physical and emotional safety. Children desire to please their fathers, and a supportive father encourages inner growth and strength.

A father's relationship with his kid has a meaningful impact on someone's life.

Joseph Lee, a veteran TVB actor, traveled to Macau with his family to celebrate his daughter's 15th birthday.

"Yesterday was my daughter's birthday! So happy! " Joseph said.

However, this photo of him with his daughter Cherrie, in which he can be seen kissing her on the lips, has elicited negative feedback from the online community.  

  

People were also quick to pass judgment on him. Some people even commented negatively on the photo. 

According to one internet user, "I don't think you should kiss your daughter like that. Males and females should be treated differently after all. "

Some netizens, on the other hand, defended him and stated, "If you think this is dirty, then everything would be dirty to you."

In a text message to the media, Joseph stated that kissing a child on the lips is typical for a father and that he only did it because his child is still a baby for him.

He stated, "As far as I know, a lot of other people understand me, so I don't need to explain things that have never been an issue."

Meanwhile, Cherrie expressed her displeasure with the situation, claiming that what her father did was simply a show of his love for her.

"I think it's just ridiculous that a kiss by a family member is distorted into something vulgar."
