Former President Cory Aquino and Senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino have an only son, Noynoy. He is also their only child who has pursued a career in politics. The 61-year-old died without children and as a bachelor.
Former President Benigno Simeon Cojuangco Aquino III's remains were interred at the Manila Memorial Park in Sucat, Paranaque, alongside his parents, Benigno Aquino Jr., and Corazon Aquino. Pnoy died on Thursday, June 24th, from diabetes-related renal failure.
From the masses held at the Ateneo de Manila (Quezon City campus) at the Church of Gesu till the orderly burial, condolences and sympathy flowed in for the Aquino family. Balsy Cruz, Viel, Pinky Abeleda, and Kris Aquino boldly faced the media in the midst of their sadness to thank the people for their love for their Kuya Noynoy.
Kris expressed her gratitude to Malacañang and President Rodrigo Duterte for their sympathies.

Kris was enthusiastically welcomed by the crowd. If you have watched the video closely, Kris appears to be campaigning by shouting "Thank you." Kris expressed his gratitude to the people for their love and support for former President Benigno 'Noynoy' Aquino.
The question of whether Kris will run in the upcoming 2022 election has arisen as a result of the scenario, as Kris has great aspirations of winning.
Following Noynoy's death, speculation on a prospective election debut for Kris has been circulating on social media, and it wouldn't be surprising to see her follow in her brother's footsteps. Kris had mentioned it before, but she said she wasn't ready yet. That was, however, before her brother passed away.
Political analyst, Ramon Casiple told the reporter, "I wouldn't be surprised if she runs in the elections next year. As to what post, it's still too early to tell but she's the most likely one to take on the political mantle.
Kris has so far been quiet on the matter.
