Jelai Andres filed a concubinage charge against Jon Gutierrez.
Jelai Andres, the sultry actress, has taken the legal route to resolve her marital issues with ex-Battalion rapper King Badger, also known as Jon Gutierrez.
The Kapuso star, according to TV5, has filed a concubinage case with the Department of Justice.
Jelai filed a concubinage complaint against Jon with the Department of Justice in Quezon City on Tuesday, June 1.
Her attendance at the second hearing of the complaint of violation of RA 9262, or the Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) Act, which she had filed against her husband, coincided with this.
"Meron pa po akong na-file na ibang cases sa ibang taong involved maliban kay Jon.
"Sobra na kasi, parang masyado na akong natapak-tapakan, tapos yung kabilang panig pa yung naghahamon at parang matatapang.
"I realized that we need to learn how to stand up and fight for our rights para makakuha ng justice.
Jelai faced the media last June 1, Monday and said:
"Hopefully, people will learn sa mga nangyari, lalo na yung mga taong hindi marunong mag-respect sa sanctity ng marriage.
"We all know na yung pakikiapid ay nasa utos ng Diyos na kasalanan talaga siya, at sa batas ng tao ay krimen talaga siya."
The lawsuit names Jon and his suspected other partner, as well as many people who allegedly approved the singer-actor's actions.
Andres was escorted by his attorney, Atty. Faye Singson is a character in the film Faye Singson.
Two additional people were purportedly named in the legal case, but they did not give their identities in the interview in order to avoid playing social media games.
Jon reportedly committed adultery, according to evidence.
Atty. Singson explained, "Aside kay Jon, meron pa kaming dalawang isinali.
"Pero at this point, dahil nag-submit na kami ng formal complaint, we just leave it to the parties to receive proper documentation para sila naman mabigyan ng chance na sagutin."
Jalai added during the media interview, "Huwag nilang i-normalize ang pakikiapid.
"Ignorance of the law is not an excuse, lalo na kung wala kang pakialam.
"Yung selfish ka, at handa kang makasira at makasakit ng tao, handa kang makasira sa pamilya ng iba.
"Kailangan ko lang ipaglaban ang pagkababae ko. Hindi lang bilang babae, kundi bilang tao po.
"Sobra na po kasi… Eto na, kailangang kong ipagtanggol ang pagkatao ko."
According to the vlogger's lawyer, Jon's camp also filed a separate complaint against him under Republic Act No. 9262, popularly known as the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004.
Jon, together with his lawyer, attended the second hearing.
Their team, however, did not file a counter-affidavit and declined to make a statement.
Jelai is also alleged to be attempting to get their marriage annulled.
In 2018, the couple got married.
Not long after Jon's infidelity disgrace, trouble loomed.
The two then argued mostly on social media, with Jelai accusing Jon of being a "drug addict" at one point.
The charge was refuted by the latter.
