Iñigo Pascual admitted defeat to his dad, Piolo Pascual, as to who was more musically inclined.
Iigo Pascual shared something about his father during an interview for his album, Options. Piolo Pascual, he claimed, had once purchased tickets to see international musician Post Malone.
The younger pascual said, "And, ‘yung mga pinapakinggan ni Papa nagugulat ako kasi mas updated pa s’ya sa akin. There was a time when he bought tickets to see Post Malone. And I was like, ‘You listen to Post Malone?’ Nagugulat talaga ako sa kanya. Mas updated pa s’ya talaga kaysa sa akin." The 23-year-old singer also thanked his father for his support of his musical endeavors.
"My Dad always honestly listens to my songs. Even before, I get to share it with him. He’s able to listen to it, he said. "He always gives me advice on what I should be doing next. And he tells me, ‘Yeah, stick to that.’
"He’s one of those people that told me to stick to the island pop sound. He says, "it makes you different, it makes you, you, it makes you Iñigo." I’ve always been so experimental, even with my looks. I’ve always been this kid who just wants to try out different things. Nagpakulot ako ng buhok dati, I tried dyed my hair. My Dad’s always been supportive of the songs I put out," added Inigo. The Senior is a force to be reckoned with, whether it's for his tattoos or his singing career.
It includes songs he recorded with a variety of producers and composers from Manila to California. The two-year-in-the-making album will be released on June 25, 2021, with Neverland as the first song.
