Janella Salvador is looking forward to coming back to work after a 15-month break. Janella posted a snapshot of herself on Instagram on June 16, 2021, with the caption "able to work." In her caption, she said, "Today, I was finally able to work for the first time in fifteen months. #Happyday" Janella did not specify on which television show she will appear.

She last appeared on television in February 2020 in an episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya with Joshua Garcia. The last regular project she did was the prime-time series The Killer Bride which ended in January 2020.


The entire country was placed under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in March 2020, halting television and film production. It was rumored on social media from June to August 2020 that she was expecting a child, but no one could confirm it.

Janella and her lover Markus Paterson had not yet revealed their true relationship at the time. They officially announced their relationship on September 12, 2020. When Janella and Markus were in the United Kingdom at the time, Markus' hometown, the rumor that she was pregnant spread.
