Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli send inspiring messages to "popster" Rabiya Mateo.

 

Miss Universe Philippines Rabiya Mateo sent a heartwarming video message wishing her luck in the upcoming international pageant from celebrity couple Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli.

Mateo gushed about the video as she shared it with fans, revealing that she is one of Geronimo's devoted "popsters."

“Someone is ‘kinikilig’ right now. Awww, my popster [heart emoji]. I love you @justsarahgph,” the beauty queen captioned on Instagram yesterday, May 6.

In her caption for the post, Rabiya confessed to being a "popster" or a fan of Sarah G.

“We’re very proud of you. Whatever happens, do it for the glory of God,” Sarah, the Popstar Royalty, meanwhile, said.

She added, “Congratulations in advance. God bless you. May God grant you wisdom and courage as you represent our country in the Miss Universe 2021 pageant.”

Mateo, who is from Iloilo District, will represent the Philippines at the 69th Miss Universe pageant, which will be held on May 16 at 8 p.m. Eastern Time in Hollywood, Florida, USA (May 17, 8 a.m., in the Philippines).

In October 2020, she was crowned Miss Universe Philippines at the Baguio Country Club in Baguio. Mateo is now in the United States, where he is preparing for the forthcoming pageant.

The candidates' arrival dates for registration are set for either May 6 or 7.

Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo expressed her excitement about her arrival outfit in an online interview. Several media outlets first announced that she would wear a costume modeled by the late Rocky Gathercole in the preliminary and final shows, as well as Furne One for Amato Couture gowns.
